Frames components Right shield plate Warning Switch off the power and disconnect the power cord. 1. Open the front cover. 2. Open the top cover. Remove the drum/toner cartridge basket. Cover the basket in a lightproof black bag to protect the drum units from light and store in a safe place. 3. Remove the right-side cover as explained in "Right-side cover" on page 89. 4. Remove the screws securing the right shield plate. 5. Remove the right shield plate. Removing the right shield plate Reverse these steps to install the right shield plate. Service Guide 93
