Scanning Scanning using One Touch One Touch is your main scanning interface for using the scanner. Placing a page in the scanner automatically starts the scanner and sends the image to the destination selected in the One Touch properties. NOTE: Always remove any staples or paper clips from documents before inserting them into the scanner's paper feed. Staples and paper clips can jam the feed mechanism and scratch the internal components. Also remove any labels, stickers, or Post-It™ notes that may come off during the scanning process and get stuck in the scanner. Misuse as described here will void your scanner's warranty. Scan Using AutoLaunch When you insert an item into the scanner, it is automatically scanned and the image is sent to a destination location or application on your computer, or to a network drive. Using AutoLaunch: 1. Place an item face up in the paper feed slot, aligned to the arrow on the right side of the scanner. The scanner grabs the top edge of the paper and automatically begins to scan and feed the paper through the scanner. 2. A scan progress window opens and the image is sent to the selected application for the scan button. In this example the Destination Application is the BizCard software. Note that the business card has been OCR'd and the text is ready for editing. Xerox Card Scanner 200 User's Guide 17

automatically starts the scanner and sends the image to the destination selected in the One Touch
properties.
Scan Using AutoLaunch
When you insert an item into the scanner, it is automatically scanned and the image is sent to a
destination location or application on your computer, or to a network drive.
Using AutoLaunch:
1.
Place an item
face up
in the paper feed slot, aligned to the arrow on the right side of the scanner.
The scanner grabs the top edge of the paper and automatically begins to scan and feed the paper
through the scanner.
2.
A scan progress window opens and the image is sent to the selected application for the scan button.
In this example the Destination Application is the BizCard software. Note that the business card has
been OCR’d and the text is ready for editing.
NOTE:
Always remove any staples or paper clips from documents before inserting them into the
scanner’s paper feed. Staples and paper clips can jam the feed mechanism and scratch the internal
