Scanning Setting PaperIn Options You can set how you want the scanner to respond when you put a page in the scanner. The options are for turning this feature on or off, and changing the amount of time it takes for the scanner to recognize when a page has been place in the paper feed slot. Enable the generation of events: Selecting the option Enable the generation of events when paper is inserted into the scanner simply means that you want the scanner to automatically scan when a page is inserted into the scanner. This option is selected by default on install of the scanner. If you want to scan from the One Touch button panel on screen, you need to deselect this option. Click on OK to save the changes and close the window. Paper pickup delay: You can set a delay time for the scanner to wait before feeding the page through the scanner. Using a paper pickup delay allows you to make sure the page is straight in the scanner before the scanner feeds it through. If the Paper pickup delay is at 0 ms (milliseconds), the scanner starts as soon as the paper sensor detects a page in the paper feed slot. This option is disabled if Enable the generation of events is deselected. 1. Click on the drop menu next to Paper pickup delay. 2. Select one of the options from the list. Moderate (500 ms) is the default selection for this option. 3. Click on OK to save the changes and close the window.
