Reference Handy Performance Features The Metronome The metronome can be set for up to 15-beat time signatures. A chime will sound on the first beat of each measure, while a metronome "click" will sound on all others. You can also set the time signature to "00," in which case the chime will not sound and the "click" sound will be heard on all beats. The metronome will automatically be set to match the time signature and tempo of the selected song or style, but you can also change the tempo and time signature yourself. 1 Press the [METRONOME] button to start the metronome. You can stop the metronome by pressing the [MET- RONOME] button a second time. 5 Use the dial or the [0] - [9] number buttons to select a time signature between 00 and 15 beats per measure. 2 Press the [TEMPO/TAP] button to call up the TEMPO display. ■ Adjusting the Metronome Volume 6 Press the [FUNCTION] button to call up the FUNCTION display. 3 Use the dial or the [0] - [9] number buttons to select a tempo from 032 to 280 quarternote beats per minute. 4 Press and hold the [METRONOME] button for longer than a second so that the FUNC- TION display Time Signature item appears. 7 Use the CATEGORY [ ] and [ ] buttons to select the Metronome Volume item.
