Playing Voices Transpose This function allows the overall pitch of the PSR-550 to be transposed up or down by a maximum of one octave in semitone increments. The transpose range is from -12 to +12. 1 Press the [TRANSPOSE] button. Transpose = 0 2 Set the transposition. Use the data dial, the [+/YES] button, the [-/NO] button or the number buttons [1]-[0]. • The Transpose function cannot be applied when a drum kit is the selected voice (page 31). • Press the [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to instantly reset the transpose value to "0". • The new TRANSPOSE value will take effect from the next key played. • Minus values can be entered by using the number buttons while holding the [-/NO] button. Transpose = 4 Pitch Bend Wheel Use the PSR-550 pitch bend wheel to bend notes up (roll the wheel away from you) or down (roll the wheel toward you) while playing the keyboard. The pitch bend wheel is self-centering and will automatically return to nornal pitch when released. • The maximum pitch bend range can be set via the Pitch Bend Range function in the Utility function group (page 122). Sustain When the Sustain features is ON, all notes played on the keyboard have a longer sustain. Press the [SUSTAIN] button to turn the SUSTAIN effect ON or OFF. Transpose
This function allows the overall pitch of the PSR-550 to be transposed up or down by a
maximum of one octave in semitone increments. The transpose range is from -12 to
+12.
The Transpose function
cannot be applied when a
drum kit is the selected voice
(page 31).
Press the [+/YES] and [-/NO]
buttons simultaneously to
instantly reset the transpose
value to “0”.
The new TRANSPOSE value
will take effect from the next
key played.
Minus values can be entered
by using the number buttons
while holding the [-/NO]
button.
