Power & Connections P o w e r & C o n n e c t i o n s 2 Power Supply Your QY70 will run either from batteries or an optional AC adaptor. Follow the instructions below according to the power source you intend to use. Using Batteries Six 1.5V AA size (SUM-3 or R6P) or equivalent batteries must first be installed in the battery compartment. Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer life. Never mix battery types, such as alkaline batteries with manganese batteries or batteries from different makers. Z Open Battery Compartment Cover Open the battery compartment cover - located on the instrument's bottom panel - by pressing down on the grooved section of the cover and sliding in the direction of the arrow, as shown in the illustration. X Insert Batteries Insert the six batteries, being careful to follow the polarity markings on the bottom panel. 9

Using Batteries
Six 1.5V AA size (SUM-3 or R6P) or equivalent batteries must first be

Open Battery Compartment Cover
Open the battery compartment cover — located on the
instrument’s bottom panel — by pressing down on the grooved
