The Pattern Jobs 15 : Copy Phrase Copies the specified preset phrase to a specified PATTERN mode track as a user phrase. The "Phrase" parameter selects the source phrase - i.e. the preset , phrase to be copied (preset phrase numbers have three sections which can be specified: category, beat, and number - page 137). The "TR" parameter selects the destination track: D1, D2, PC, BA, C1, C2, C3, C4. After setting the parameters as required press [ENTER] to execute the Copy Phrase job. The metronome icon will appear on the display while 11 the data is being processed, then "Completed" will appear briefly when the job is done. Press the [EXIT] key to return to the job list, or a mode key to go directly to the selected mode. s NOTE • If the specified preset phrase is shorter than the pattern length, the phrase will be copied repeatedly to fill the pattern length. • If the specified preset phrase is longer than the pattern length, the exceeding part of the copied phrase will be cut off. • If the destination track already contains data, the copied phrase will erase and replace the previous phrase data. 183

15 : Copy Phrase
Copies the specified preset phrase to a specified PATTERN mode
track as a user phrase.
The “
Phrase
” parameter selects the source phrase — i.e. the preset
phrase to be copied (preset phrase numbers have three sections which can
be specified: category, beat, and number — page 137).
The “

C1, C2, C3, C4.
After setting the parameters as required press [ENTER] to execute
the Copy Phrase job. The metronome icon will appear on the display while

NOTE
If the specified preset phrase is shorter than the pattern length, the phrase will be
copied repeatedly to fill the pattern length.
If the specified preset phrase is longer than the pattern length, the exceeding part
of the copied phrase will be cut off.
If the destination track already contains data, the copied phrase will erase and
replace the previous phrase data.
