Chapter 32 DHCP The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 98 IP Application > DHCP LABEL Relay Mode DESCRIPTION This field displays: • None: if the Switch is not configured as a DHCP relay agent. • Global: if the Switch is configured as a DHCP relay agent only. • VLAN: followed by a VLAN ID if it is configured as a relay agent for specific VLAN(s). 32.3 Configuring DHCP Global Relay Configure global DHCP relay in the DHCP Relay screen. Click IP Application > DHCP in the navigation panel and click the Global link to display the screen as shown. Table 99 IP Application > DHCP > Global LABEL Active Remote DHCP Server 1 .. 3 Relay Agent Information Information DESCRIPTION Select this check box to enable DHCP relay. Enter the IP address of a DHCP server in dotted decimal notation. Select the Option 82 check box to have the Switch add information (slot number, port number and VLAN ID) to client DHCP requests that it relays to a DHCP server. This read-only field displays the system name you configure in the General Setup screen. Apply Cancel Select the check box for the Switch to add the system name to the client DHCP requests that it relays to a DHCP server. Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
