Driver Controls CHECK PARK ASSIST. Displayed when the transmission is in R (Reverse) and the Reverse Sensing System is disabled. Refer to Reverse Sensing System in this section to enable. ADVTRAC ON. Displayed when the AdvanceTrac with RSC is ON. ADVTRAC OFF. Displayed when the AdvanceTrac with RSC is OFF. POWER LIFTGATE OFF. Displayed when the Power liftgate is turned OFF. OVERDRIVE OFF. Displayed in the message center when the transmission is being driven in the D4 gear shift position. Refer to Driving with a 6-speed automatic transmission in the Driving chapter for assistance on when to use the D4 position. The OVERDRIVE OFF display in the message center can be overridden by a message with higher priority, or can be manually removed by pressing the reset button while the OVERDRIVE OFF message is present. Removing the shift lever from the D4 position will also result in the elimination of the OVERDRIVE OFF message. DOOR AJAR. Displayed when a door is not completely closed. LIFTGATE OR LIFTGATE GLASS AJAR. Displayed when the liftgate or liftgate glass is not completely closed. CHECK ENGINE TEMPERATURE. Displayed when the engine coolant is overheating. Stop the vehicle as soon as safely possible, turn off the engine and let it cool. Check the coolant and coolant level. Refer to Engine coolant in the Maintenance and Specifications chapter. If the warning stays on or continues to come on, contact your authorized dealer as soon as safely possible. REDUCED ENGINE POWER. Displayed when the engine is overheating. Stop the vehicle as soon as safely possible, turn off the engine. If the warning stays on or continues to come on, contact your authorized dealer as soon as safely possible. CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL or ENGINE FAIL SAFE MODE. Displayed when the engine has defaulted to a "limp-home" operation. If the warning stays on or continues to come on, contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible. STOP ENGINE SAFELY. Displayed when the engine is overheating. Stop the vehicle as soon as safely possible, turn off the engine. If the warning stays on or continues to come on, contact your authorized dealer as soon as safely possible. LOW TIRE PRESSURE. Displayed when one or more tires on your vehicle have low tire pressure.
