Calibrating the Compass Sometimes, strong magnetic fields can affect the compass. If the CALIBRATE light comes on as shown above, try calibrating the compass follows: as 1. Drive the car to an open, flat area. /CALIBRATE T ' 2. Press and hold the MODE button until the CALIBRATE light reappears. 3. Release theMODE button. The heading display will start to rotate. 4. Drive the carin small circles. Don't drive faster than 10 mph (16 km/h). N L .
