2.2 Central Processing Unit (CPU) The motherboard comes with a surface mount LGA1200 socket designed for the Intel® Xeon® processor E-2300 product family and Intel® Pentium™ processors. The product warranty does not cover damage to the socket contacts resulting from incorrect CPU installation/removal, or misplacement/loss/incorrect removal of the PnP cap.\ 2.2.1 Installing the CPU To install the CPU: 1. Locate the CPU socket on the motherboard. Before installing the CPU, ensure that the socket box is facing toward you and the load lever is on your right. 2. Press the load lever with your thumb (A), then move it to the right (B) until it is released from the retention tab. Do not remove the PnP cap yet from the CPU socket. Installing the CPU
To install the CPU:
1.
Locate the CPU socket on the motherboard.
Before installing the CPU, ensure that the socket box is facing toward you and the load
lever is on your right.
