12 Security Change PIN codes í ¢¢ T ¢ Security ¢ Select function. PIN codes Change PIN You can change the PIN (4 to 8 digits) to a number you easily remember. ñ Press to change. J Enter current PIN and confirm with ;. J,; Enter new PIN. Confirm. J,; Repeat new PIN. Confirm. Change PIN2 Proceed as for Change PIN. Change phonecode Define the phone code (4-8 digits) when you start a phone-code protected function for the first time. It is then valid for all phone-code protected functions. To change the code proceed as with Change PIN. Following the third incorrect attempt, access to the phone code functions is denied. Please contact Service (page 33). Clearing SIM card barrings If the PIN is entered incorrectly three times, the SIM card is barred. Enter the PUK (MASTER PIN) provided by your service provider in accordance with the instructions. If the PUK has been lost, contact your service provider. Preventing accidental activation Even if PIN use is deactivated (page 9) confirmation is required to switch on the phone. This prevents the phone from being switched on accidentally, e.g. when carried in a pocket or whilst you are on an aircraft. B Press and hold. §OK§ Press. Connection with PCs You can connect your phone to a PC using Bluetooth or a data cable (accessories). The PC program MPM (Mobile Phone Manager) enables you to store data on PC and, e.g. synchronise the Addressbook with Outlook®, Lotus Notes™.
