    Installing the BJ Cartridge The BJ cartridge contains ink and a print head for printing. Each cartridge can print about 700,000 characters approximately. Before using a new BJ cartridge, perform the head cleaning operation first, otherwise, it may print poorly or not print at all. (For details, see
