Replacing a BJ Tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge If you perform a print operation correctly but the output is blank, a BJ tank may be out of ink. Perform the print head cleaning at least five times. If the output is still blank, replace the empty BJ tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge. Leave the BJ cartridge in the printer when replacing a BJ tank. Make sure the printer's power is on. 1 Open the front cover. 2 Use both hands to grasp the sides of the cover and pull it forward. Press the CARTRIDGE button once. The printer beeps and moves the cartridge holder to the center of the printer. The POWER light blinks while the cartridge holder is positioned to the center of the printer. 4300 Chapter 4 Page 18 3
Replacing a BJ Tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge
If you perform a print operation correctly but the output is blank, a BJ tank may be out of
ink. Perform the print head cleaning at least five times. If the output is still blank, replace the
empty BJ tank in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge.
Leave the BJ cartridge in the printer when replacing a BJ tank. Make sure the printer's power
is on.

Open the front
cover.
Use both hands to grasp the sides of the cover and pull it forward.

Press the
CARTRIDGE
button once.
The printer beeps and moves the cartridge holder to the center of the printer.
The POWER light blinks while the cartridge holder is positioned to the center
of the printer.
