Using the Face Self-Timer To take a photo that includes the photographer, such a group photo, compose the shot, and press the shutter button. The camera will shoot two seconds after you enter the shot and it detects your face (p. 78). 1 Choose ". ● Follow Steps 1 - 2 on p. 55 and choose ". 2 Compose the shot and press the shutter button halfway. ● Make sure a green frame appears on the face focused on and white frames appear on other faces. 3 Press the shutter button fully. X The camera will enter shooting stand-by, and [Look straight at camera to start count down] will appear on the screen. X The lamp will blink and the self-timer sound will play. 4 Join the subjects and look at the camera. X When the camera detects a new face, the lamp and sound will speed up (the lamp remains lit when the flash will fire), and two seconds later the shutter will release. ● To cancel the countdown after the timer has started, press the p button. Changing the number of shots For the screen in Step 1, press the l button, then press the qr buttons to change the number of shots. Press the m button to accept the setting. Even if your face is not detected after joining the subjects, the shutter will release approximately 15 seconds later. 63
