Shooting with the AE Lock You can lock the exposure and shoot, or set the focus and exposure separately to shoot. AE stands for "Auto Exposure". 1 Lock the exposure. ● Point the camera toward the subject and press the o button while pressing the shutter button halfway. X When & appears on the screen, the exposure will be locked. ● If you release your finger from the shutter button and press the o button again, & will disappear and the AE will unlock. 2 Compose the scene and shoot. Shooting with the FE Lock Just as with the AE lock, you can lock the exposure for shooting with the flash. FE stands for "Flash Exposure". 1 Choose h (p. 67). 2 Lock the flash exposure. ● Point the camera toward the subject and press the o button while pressing the shutter button halfway. X The flash will fire and when ( appears on the screen, the flash output will be retained. ● If you release your finger from the shutter button and press the o button again, ( will disappear and the FE will unlock. 3 Compose the scene and shoot. 82

You can lock the exposure and shoot, or set the focus and exposure

Just as with the AE lock, you can lock the exposure for shooting with the
flash.
FE stands for “Flash Exposure”.
