Launch the Viewer Launch the Viewer and connect to the Storage Server Group. You can view video from cameras connected to the Storage Server Group. 1 Double-click the [RM Viewer] icon on your desktop. Double-click the [RM-Lite Viewer v4.0] icon on your desktop. Important If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, click [Yes] (or [Continue]). 2 Specify the information required to connect to the Storage Server Group. (1) (2) (1) [Group Name] Select the name of Storage Server Group you want to connect to. (2) [User Name], [Password] Enter your user name and password. 3 Click [Connect]. Note • The first time you connect to the Storage Server Group, you must enter the host name and port number. However, from the second time onward, you can simply specify the Storage Server Group name. • When there is a time difference of five seconds or longer between the Storage Server and the Viewer computers, a message prompting you to synchronize them will appear. Adjust the system time of the Viewer computer to the time of the Storage Server. You can disable the message display in [Viewer Settings]. For details, please refer to "Configure the Viewer Display and Operation Settings" (P. 118). • You can configure the Viewer to launch without displaying the launching screen or the [Connect to Storage Server Group] dialog box. For details, please refer to "Create a Shortcut Icon for Launching the Viewer" (P. 156). • You can launch the Viewer using a Storage Server host name instead of the Storage Server Group name. Enter the host name or the IP address of the Storage Server Group in [Host Name]. If the Viewer and the Storage Server are installed on the same computer, enter "localhost". • If there are no cameras added, a message is displayed asking if you want to add a camera. Launch RM Manager and then add cameras. • If you want to connect to another Storage Server Group after launching the Viewer, click [File] > [Connect to Storage Server Group]. 96

Launch the Viewer and connect to the Storage Server Group. You can view video from cameras connected to the Storage
Server Group.
Double-click the [RM-Lite Viewer v4.0] icon on your desktop.

[Group Name]
Select the name of Storage Server Group you want to connect to.

[User Name], [Password]
Enter your user name and password.
Note
The first time you connect to the Storage Server Group, you must enter the host name and port number. However, from the
second time onward, you can simply specify the Storage Server Group name.
When there is a time difference of five seconds or longer between the Storage Server and the Viewer computers, a message
