7.13 Top Cover Assembly To remove the top cover assembly, complete the following procedures: 1. Disconnect the AC power and any external devices (Section 7.4.1). 2. Remove the battery pack (Section 7.4.3). 3. Remove the DualBay device (Section 7.4.4). 4. Remove any PC Cards (Section 7.4.5). 5. Remove the keyboard (Section 7.7). 6. Remove the microphone/display cable cover (Section 7.11). 7. Disconnect the touchpad cable from connector on the system board. Figure 7-30. Top Cover Assembly
To remove the top cover assembly, complete the following procedures:
1.
Disconnect the AC power and any external devices (Section 7.4.1).
2.
Remove the battery pack (Section 7.4.3).
3.
Remove the DualBay device (Section 7.4.4).
4.
Remove any PC Cards (Section 7.4.5).
5.
Remove the keyboard (Section 7.7).
6.
Remove the microphone/display cable cover (Section 7.11).
7.
Disconnect the touchpad cable from connector on the system board.
