Unpacking the DCS-1000W Carefully remove all items from the package. In addition to this User's Guide, be certain that you have: • One Wireless Internet Camera • Two External Wireless Antennas • One Installation CD-ROM • One AC power adapter • One Camera Stand • One Category 5 Ethernet Cable • This manual If any item is missing, or if you find any damage or mismatch, promptly contact your dealer for assistance. Hardware Installation This section describes the Hardware installation procedure for DCS-1000W. 1. Attach Wireless Antenna From the rear panel of DCS-1000W screw the 2 external antennas that came with DCS1000W into the antenna connector. 2. Configure Network Communication From the rear panel of DCS-1000W select the desired network communication for DCS1000W from the Slide Switch. Position the Slide Switch to the setting required either LAN or LAN/WLAN position. Please refer to the Physical Description section for detailed information. 9

Hardware Installation
This section describes the Hardware installation procedure for DCS-1000W.
1. Attach Wireless Antenna
From the rear panel of DCS-1000W screw
the 2 external antennas that came with DCS-
1000W into the antenna connector.
2. Configure Network Communication
From the rear panel of DCS-1000W select the
desired network communication for DCS-
1000W from the Slide Switch. Position the
Slide Switch to the setting required either LAN
or LAN/WLAN position.
