Section 3 - Configuration Firewall Rules To create a firewall rule, configure the parameters as described below: Name: Enter a name for the firewall rule. Action: Use the drop-down menu to specify if the router should Allow or Deny traffic matching the firewall rule. Interface: Use the drop-down menus to select the Source and Destination interfaces for the Firewall Rule Use the IP Address fields next to each Interface drop-down menu to specify the IP address ranges for the Source/Destination interfaces. The first host in the IP address range should be entered in the top field and the last host in the IP address range should be entered in the field beneath for both the Source/Destination intefaces. Protocol: Use the drop-down menu to select the protocol that will be used for the firewall rule (TCP, UDP, ICMP, or ALL). Port Range: Enter the range of ports that the firewall rule will apply to. The first port in the port range should be entered in the top field and the last host in the port range should be entered in the field beneath. Schedule: Use the drop-down menu to select the schedule for the Network Filter rule. Click the New Schedule button to bring up the "Schedule Webpage" to configure the new schedule.
