D-Link Document - User Manual Rollback and delete snapshot When a snapshot has been rolled back, the related snapshots which are earlier than it will also be removed. But the remaining snapshots will be kept after rollback. If a snapshot has been deleted, the other snapshots which are earlier than it will also be deleted. The space occupied by these snapshots will be released after deleting. Clone A clone function can backup data from the source virtual disk to target. Here is the clone operation. At the beginning, copy all data from the source virtual disk to target. This is called full copy. Afterwards, use snapshot technology to perform the incremental copy. Please be fully aware that the incremental copy needs to use snapshot to compare the data difference. Therefore, enough snapshot space for the virtual disk is very important. Of course, clone job can also be set as schedule. Setup Clone Take an example of cloning the virtual disk. 1. Before cloning, DSN-6200/6500 must prepare backup target virtual disk. In the Virtual Disks tab, click Create button. And then select Disk Type to Backup Target. Figure 1: Source side Figure 2: Target side 2.
