Removing the Base Cover 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Perform the following steps: a) Remove the screws that secure the base cover. b) Slide the base cover towards the front of the system and remove it from the computer. Installing the Base Cover 1. Slide the base cover into its slot until it clicks into place. 2. Install the screws that secure the base cover to the computer. 3. Install the battery. 4. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer. Removing the Memory Module 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove: a) battery b) base cover 3. Pry the retention clips away from the memory module until it pops up. 4. Lift up the memory module and remove it from the computer. 17

Removing the Base Cover
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer

2.
Remove the battery.
3.
Perform the following steps:
a)
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
b)
Slide the base cover towards the front of the system and remove it from the computer.
Installing the Base Cover
1.
Slide the base cover into its slot until it clicks into place.
2.
Install the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.
3.
Install the battery.

Remove:
a)
battery
b)
base cover
3.
Pry the retention clips away from the memory module until it pops up.
