Installing the DS-16B2 Rails Assembling the Rails If this is a new installation in an EMC CLARiiON rack, the rails are pre-assembled. Follow these rail assembly instructions only if you are installing the switch in a non-EMC rack/cabinet. 1. Place the front rail down on a table. 2. Installing the DS-16B2 Rails 3. Insert the slots of the rear adjustable rail onto the threaded posts on the front rail. Be sure that keps nuts. Leave the keps nuts finger tight. See Figure 11. Installing the DS-16B2 Rails 5. Determine where in the rack/cabinet you will locate the switch. 6. Installing the DS-16B2 Switch 5. Secure the brackets to the rails with two M3 x 8-mm pan head screws (see table on page 8), one on below. 7. Tightening the Front and Rear Rail Assembly Screws 8. Install the bezel supports on the flange at the end of the left and right rails.
