Installing the DS-16B2 Rails Assembling the Rails If this is a new installation in an EMC CLARiiON rack, the rails are pre-assembled. Follow these rail assembly instructions only if you are installing the switch in a non-EMC rack/cabinet. 1. Place the front rail down on a table. 2. Lay the ac power cord just below the lip that runs along the top edge of the front rail. Run the front end of the power cord behind the front flange. Be sure to leave a little extra length (6 to 8 inches) at the front end of the power cord. The length can be adjusted once the switch is installed on the rails. See Figure 10. Installing the DS-16B2 Rails
Assembling the Rails
If this is a new installation in an EMC CLARiiON rack, the rails are
pre-assembled. Follow these rail assembly instructions only if you are
installing the switch in a non-EMC rack/cabinet.
1.
Place the front rail down on a table.
2.
Lay the ac power cord just below the lip that runs along the top
edge of the front rail. Run the front end of the power cord behind
the front flange. Be sure to leave a little extra length (6 to 8 inches)
at the front end of the power cord. The length can be adjusted
once the switch is installed on the rails. See Figure 10.
