3 Important Safety Instructions Read all instructions before using this appliance. Save these instructions for future reference. This manual contains important safety symbols and instructions. Please pay attention to these symbols and follow all instructions given. Do not attempt to install or operate your appliance until you have read the safety precautions in this manual. Safety items throughout this manual are labeled with a WARNING or CAUTION statement based on the risk type. DEFINITIONS This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death. Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in death or serious injury. Indicates installation, operation, maintenance, or valuable information that is not hazard related. Tip Over Hazard • A child or adult can tip the oven and be killed. • Install the anti-tip device to oven and/or structure per installation instructions. • Ensure the anti-tip device is re-engaged when the oven is moved. • Do not operate the oven without the anti-tip device in place and engaged. • Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious burns to children and adults. Refer to the installation instructions supplied with your appliance for proper installation. Anti-tip mounting holes Check for proper installation with a visual check that the anti-tip screws are present. Test the installation with light downward pressure on the open oven door. The oven should not tip forward. Storage in or on appliance-Flammable materials should not be stored in an oven or near surface units. Do not leave children alone - Children should not be left alone or unattended in the area where appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand on any part of the appliance, including the storage drawer, lower broiler drawer, warmer drawer, or lower double oven. Never cover any slots, holes, or passages in the oven bottom or cover an entire oven rack with materials, such as aluminum foil. Aluminum foil linings may trap heat, causing a fire hazard. Do not heat unopened food containers. Build-up of pressure may cause container to burst and result in injury. Do not use water or flour on grease fires. Smother fire or flame or use dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher. Cover the fire with a pan lid or use baking soda. Do not touch heating elements or interior surfaces of the oven unless the oven has cooled sufficiently.
