Suppressing Notifications The suppression functionality allows users to define a symptom for which they do not want to be notified. It is generally used when a system is "spewing" many of the same type of events and a user does not want to keep getting notified for them. Using the suppression functionality allows notifications to continue for the site, product, or group on all but the identified suppression record. 1. In the left navigation pane, click Notify. 2. Click Add Record at the top of the notification list. 3. From the selection list, select the user for which this notification is intended. NOTE: If the user is not in the selection list, add a user profile for that user, and then add a notification record. 4. For the Notification Record Type, click Suppression. 12 Notify
