The detail pane provides a "Summary Tab" (page 51), and if the connected device type is disk, it will also display a "Physical Disks Tab" (page 51). Summary Tab The Summary detail tab provides the following information: Group General Resources Settings SAS Settings Field Position Label Port WWN Type Rate Connected Device Type Connected Device Mode State Total Data Throughput Connection Mode Connection Type Configured Rate Max Rate Interrupt Coalesce Topology Adapter Type Mode Change Physical Disks Description The position of the port (in node:slot:port format) in which the SAS is installed. The designated port label. The World Wide Name of the port. The type of port, e.g., SAS. Rate that data can be transferred over the port (1 Gbps, 2 Gbps or 4 Gbps). When there is no specified value, no connection exists. Type of device that the port is connected to. Free, Disk, Host, Peer, RC, or InServ. Name of device that the port is connected to, e.g., host1, cage0. Port firmware mode setting-Initiator, Target, Peer, or Suspended. Ports in Initiator mode are connected to drive cages and ports in Target mode export to hosts. Suspended mode is for target ports that have not yet been initialized by the system (rare). Peer mode is for Ethernet ports. The current state of the SAS. The throughput in KB/sec. The type of port connection. Connection type or port connection setting Data transfer rate setting (for example, 1 Gbps). Auto indicates that the system automatically selects the rate. Maximum rate of connection from the port. If disabled, each I/O generates a separate interrupt to the HBA port driver rather than generating one interrupt for multiple I/O completion. The type of connection, e.g., Point. The type of adapter used for the port. Indicates whether port mode change from initiator to target or vice versa is Allowed or Pra ohibited. The number of physical disks connected to the port. This is only displayed if the port is connected to drive cages. Physical Disks Tab The Physical Disks detail tab provides the following information: Column Device Position Description The type of connected disk. The position of the disk in the system.
