Supported Network Configurations for Peer-to-Peer Printing • Windows 95 • Windows 98 • Windows NT 4.0/2000 Installing the Printer on a Network with an HP JetDirect Print Server (Recommended) JetDirect Card Your printer can be shared in a network environment by connecting it directly to the network via an HP JetDirect external or internal print server. This configuration provides better performance than printing through a computer, as well as flexibility in preparing a location for the printer. The HP JetDirect print server can be used in both client-server and peerto-peer network configurations. 4-2
