ip igmp snooping Chapter 2 Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020 for HP Cisco IOS Commands ip igmp snooping Use the ip igmp snooping global configuration command to globally enable Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping on the switch or to enable it on a per-VLAN basis. Use the no form of this command to return to the default setting. ip igmp snooping [vlan vlan-id] no ip igmp snooping [vlan vlan-id] Syntax Description vlan vlan-id (Optional) Enable IGMP snooping on the specified VLAN. The range is 1 to 1001 and 1006 to 4094. Defaults IGMP snooping is globally enabled on the switch. IGMP snooping is enabled on VLAN interfaces. Usage Guidelines When IGMP snooping is enabled globally, it is enabled in all the existing VLAN interfaces. When IGMP snooping is globally disabled, it is disabled on all the existing VLAN interfaces. VLAN IDs 1002 to 1005 are reserved for Token Ring and FDDI VLANs and cannot be used in IGMP snooping.
