Deleting SSH Server Keys Configuring SSH and Telnet To disable the SSH server to prevent SSH access to the switch, perform this task: Procedure Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Command or Action switch# configure terminal switch(config)# no feature ssh switch(config)# exit switch# show ssh server switch# copy running-config startup-config Purpose Enters configuration mode. Disables the SSH server. The default is enabled. Exits global configuration mode. (Optional) Displays the SSH server configuration. (Optional) Copies the running configuration to the startup configuration. Deleting SSH Server Keys You can delete SSH server keys after you disable the SSH server. Note To reenable SSH, you must first generate an SSH server key. To delete the SSH server keys, perform this task: Procedure Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Command or Action switch# configure terminal Purpose Enters configuration mode. switch(config)# no feature ssh Disables the SSH server. switch(config)# no ssh key [dsa | rsa] Deletes the SSH server key. The default is to delete all the SSH keys. switch(config)# exit Exits global configuration mode. switch# show ssh key (Optional) Displays the SSH server configuration. switch# copy running-config startup-config (Optional) Copies the running configuration to the startup configuration.
