Removal and Replacement Procedures 23 Universal Hot-Plug Tape Drive To remove the component: CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are populated with either a component or a blank. To replace the Universal Hot-Plug tape drive, slide the drive into the bay until it locks into place. Tape Drive Blank To remove the component: 1. Remove the hot-plug SCSI hard drive, if one is installed, below the tape drive blank ("Hot-Plug SCSI Hard Drive" on page 19). 2. Remove the hard drive blank, if one is installed, below the tape drive blank ("Hard Drive Blank" on page 20).
