62 HP ProLiant DL560 Server Maintenance and Service Guide Insight Manager 7 Insight Manager 7 is a Web-based application that allows system administrators to accomplish normal administrative tasks from any remote location, using a Web browser. Insight Manager 7 provides device management capabilities that consolidate and integrate management data from HP and third-party devices. IMPORTANT: You must install and use Insight Manager 7 to benefit from the Pre-Failure Warranty for processors, hard drives, and memory modules. For additional information, refer to the Management CD in the HP ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack. Integrated Management Log The IML records hundreds of events and stores them in an easy-to-view form. The IML timestamps each event with 1-minute granularity. You can view recorded events in the IML in several ways, including the following: • From within Insight Manager 7 • From within Survey Utility • From within operating system-specific IML viewers − For NetWare: IML Viewer − For Windows®: Event Viewer or IML Viewer − For Linux: IML Viewer Application • From within HP Insight Diagnostics For more information, refer to the Management CD in the HP ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack.
