The server desktop is accessed through a LAN-attached PC and standard web browser. Figure 2-3 illustrates the server with attached liquid crystal display (LCD) panel. Figure 2-3 Management Server The server is rack mounted in the McDATA-supplied FC-512 Fabricenter equipment cabinet. A SANpilot interface or management server is required to install, configure, and manage a product. Although a configured product operates normally without server intervention, an attached management server should operate at all times to monitor product operation, log events and configuration changes, and report failures.
