If a Port LED Is On When It Should Be Off If a Port LED is on when no active device is attached, find the symptom that best fits the situation, then attempt the solution. When more than one solution is possible, the most likely one is listed first. Symptom Cause/Solution The cable has been disconnected at the device or is connected to an inactive device, and the Port LED is on. Port LED stays on after the cable is disconnected from the port. The cable is still connected to a functional device. Check the Fibre Channel mass storage device map to verify that the device is connected to the port. Also look for a Port LED that is off but should be on. Change the connections or change the map as needed. The hub is faulty. Replace the hub.
