S7350B WebPAD™ APPENDIX D: EXTERNAL COMPACTFLASH (CF) SLOT This section discusses the usability of the external CF slot located on the lower edge of the S7350B. The CF slot has an opening to insert a CF card next to an ejector button. When a CF card is inserted into the empty slot, the ejector button protrudes. Pushing on this protruded button ejects the inserted card. The CF slot in the S7350B is designed to provide storage for email attachments, file downloads, external (Windows CE-compatible) applications, etc. It is the "FlashStorage3" in the file structure of the Windows CE device. You may find FlashStorage4 and so on if the external CF card has multiple partitions. To display the contents of the inserted CF card, select My Computer->FlashStorage3. Note that "FlashStorage" and "FlashStorage2" (e.g., My Computer->FlashStorage2) are dedicated storage partition in the internal flash memory of the S7350B WebPAD. CAUTION Internal and External Flash Memory Hazard. Information can be lost or corrupted. Follow the precautionary guidelines listed below. IMPORTANT Precautions when using the CF slot: 1. Any external CF card must be securely inserted into the CF slot BEFORE powering ON the S7350B. 2. Any external CF card can only be extracted from the CF slot AFTER powering OFF the S7350B. Adhering to the above guidelines will prevent the loss or corruption of information on the internal and external flash memories. Honeywell is not responsible of lost data associated with the use of the external CF card slot. .The External CF slot is compactible with a variety of CF cards from different manufacturers. This section discusses the usability of the external CF slot located on the lower edge of the S7350B.
