S7350B WebPAD™ Section 4: Software SYMPTOM 1 Cannot update software. POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) 1: If the problem exists, some memory in the device may be defective or the file in your server may be incomplete or unavailable- contact your System Administrator or Software Provider. • The setup procedure is: from Start> Programs, select Update. Input update file name and server IP address before you update the system; first be sure your device and server are online and close all applications. Do not use battery power but use the AC-DC adapter instead. CAUTION System Crash Hazard. Can lose all system information. Do not use battery power during device software update; use the AC-DC adapter only. Do not turn off system during software update. SYMPTOM 2 The device does not function because it is locked up or power was off accidentally during device software updates. POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) 2: The device may be recoverable. Contact your service organization or call H-Link. CAUTION System Crash Hazard. Can lose all system information. Do not use battery power during device firmware update; use the AC-DC adapter power only. Do not turn off system during firmware update. SYMPTOM 3 Forgot password. POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) 3: • The password feature, if enabled, does not affect normal usage except when you want to modify personal and configured information. • If you need your password, contact your service organization or call H-Link. SYMPTOM 4 Cannot recover user information or data after restarting the device. POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) 4: You can save or open files in any folder from the applications as long as your device remains powered on. • Save files in the FlashStorage2 folder and sub-folders if you want to keep them permanently. • Data not stored in the FlashStorage2 folder may be lost when you power off the device. SYMPTOM 5 Cannot read e-mail message in Inbox. POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) 5: You may not have selected the file type as either POP3 or IMAP4 for reading Inbox e-mail: • Select the file type for e-mail access. 43 69-1514-1
