Updated October 31, 2007 Installing and removing lock inserts The cash drawer, keyboard, and Model 4 printer can have optional locks that prevent unauthorized persons from using the terminal. If no lock is installed, a blank lock insert can be used to cover the opening that is made. Note that the arrow will point in different directions, depending on the kind of device. Refer to this figure when you install a lock in the different devices. Installing a lock insert The procedure is the same for installing a lock insert in any device. Only the aligner position changes from device to device (see Figure 82 and the related text). keyboard,
