OTHER FUNCTIONS 6 n Duplex operation (Available with the IC-A14 only) 1 The duplex function allows you to call a flight service station 2 while receiving a VOR station. The duplex function requires 3 frequency programming for the flight service station in ad- vance. 4 D Programming a duplex frequency D Operating the duplex function 5 q Push [CLR] to select the frequency mode. q Set the desired frequency in NAVI band. 6 w Set a NAVI band frequency using [Y]/[Z] or keypad. • NAVI band frequency range: 108.00-117.975 MHz e Push [FUNC], then push [DUP-W](5). • NAVI band frequency range: 108.00-117.975 MHz 7 w P ush [FUNC], then push [DUP](6) to turn the duplex function ON. 8 • "DUP" blinks and transmit frequency appears. r Set the desired flight service station frequency using • "DUP" indicator appears. e P ush and hold [PTT] to transmit on the pre-programmed 9 [Y]/[Z] or keypad, then push [ENT]. transmit frequency. 10 • The displayed frequency returns to the NAVI band frequency. r Release [PTT] to return to receive. t Push [FUNC], then push [DUP](6) to cancel the function. 11 • "DUP" indicator disappears. 12 "DUP" indicator blinks during transmit frequency setting "DUP" appears during duplex operation [DUP-W](5) [DUP](6) [FUNC] NOTE: A duplex frequency can be programmed into each 13 memory channel independently. Set a duplex frequency before programming the memory channel, if desired. The 14 duplex ON/OFF setting can also be programmed into a 15 memory channel. 16 17 18 19 24
