For help, see Understanding error messages and flashing lights. • The USB cable is securely attached to both the computer and the printer. • The printer software is installed correctly. For help, see Solving printer software installation problems. • The paper is loaded correctly. For help, see Load the paper. • The printer is set as the default printer. To set the printer to default status: a Highlight the printer icon on your desktop. b From the Printing menu, select Set Default Printer. • Hubs or other devices, such as scanners or fax machines, are disconnected from your printer. Connect the printer directly to your computer. Print a test page from the Control Panel. For help, see Printing a test page. www.lexmark.com
