The ReadyNAS is configured for anonymous guest access unless otherwise specified. Access to the backup share is granted to anyone by default, but this can be changed on the security setup page through the Setup Wizard. If your client has a static IP address, make sure it is on the same IP address subnet as the ReadyNAS device. You can do this by configuring your client to obtain its IP address via DHCP.
