Basic Camera Setup Setup Menu B Notes on Vibration Reduction • Vibration reduction may take a few seconds to activate after the power is turned on, or the camera enters shooting mode from playback mode. Wait until the image of the monitor stabilizes before shooting. • Due to characteristics of the vibration reduction function, images displayed in the camera's monitor immediately after shooting may be displayed blurry. • Vibration reduction may be unable to completely eliminate the effects of camera shake in some situations. • Vibration reduction cannot be used for movies that are recorded when Movie options in the movie menu is set to HS movie. • When On (hybrid) is selected, electronic vibration reduction may not be able to correct the image if vibrations are very small or very large. • When On (hybrid) is selected, electronic vibration reduction is disabled if shutter speed is fast or very slow. • When electronic vibration reduction is operating while On (hybrid) is selected, the shutter is released twice for each shot and then the image is corrected, therefore more time is needed to save images. The Shutter sound (A 170) is heard only once. One image is saved. 167
