Make calls Make calls Proximity sensor Your device has a proximity sensor. To prevent accidental selections, the touch screen is disabled automatically during calls when you place the device next to your ear. Do not cover the proximity sensor, for example, with protective film or tape. To make a call from the contacts list, select Menu > Contacts. Scroll to the desired name. Or, tap the search field to enter the first letters or characters of the name, and scroll to the name. To call the contact, press the call key.
