Selecting the record mode JPEG For JPEG, you can register 4 combinations of images sizes (Y, X, W) and compression rates (SF, F, N, B) from the 12 total combinations available. g"K SET" (P. 88) When you select the X or W image size, you can further select the pixel size. g"PIXEL COUNT" (P. 88) RAW+JPEG Records both a JPEG and RAW image at the same time each time you take a picture. For instance, when daylight or tungsten lighting is reflected on white paper, the shade of white produced will be slightly different for each. With a digital camera, white color can be adjusted to reproduce more natural white with a digital processor. This is called white balance. There are 4 options for setting the WB with this camera. Auto white balance [AUTO] This function enables the camera to automatically detect white in images and adjust the color balance accordingly. Use this mode for general use. Preset white balance [5][2][3][1][w][x][y][n] 8 different color temperatures are programmed on this camera covering a variety of indoor and outdoor lighting including fluorescent lights, light bulbs, and flashes. For example, use preset WB when you want to reproduce more red in the picture of a sunset, or capture a warmer artistic effect under artificial lighting. 60 EN
