x Notes • The built-in flash cannot be used when an external flash is attached to the hot shoe. Super FP flash Super FP flash is available with the FL-50R or FL-36R. Use the Super FP flash where normal flashes cannot be used with high shutter speed. Fill-in flash shooting with the aperture open (such as in outdoor portrait shooting) is also possible with Super FP flash. With this wireless flash system, you can take pictures using multiple wireless flashes and control the flashes in three groups (A, B, and C). The built-in flash is used to communicate between the camera and the external flashes. For details on using the wireless flash, see the manual of the external flash. Wireless flash setup range Position the wireless flash so that the wireless sensor faces the camera. The setup range guidelines are as shown below. Notes
The built-in flash cannot be used when an external flash is attached to the hot shoe.
Super FP flash
Super FP flash is available with the FL-50R or FL-36R. Use
the Super FP flash where normal flashes cannot be used
with high shutter speed.

Wireless flash shooting is possible with the Olympus wireless RC flash system. With this
wireless flash system, you can take pictures using multiple wireless flashes and control the

Wireless flash setup range
Position the wireless flash so that the wireless sensor faces the camera. The setup range
guidelines are as shown below. The range changes according to the surrounding

the flash.
