Recording an FM/AM broadcast program to an MD To record a very long program, switch 1 the recording mode. (Refer to page 36.) 1 Insert an MD. Refer to Step 1 on page 22. Use a recordable MD. 2 Check the available recording time on the MD. Refer to Step 2 on page 27. 3 Select "FM" or "AM" for input. 6 3 EDIT/ CLEAR/NO 4 MODE/YES 5 4 Turn MULTI JOG to select a preset channel. 5 6 MD 32 Press REC to set the FR-N3X into recording standby mode. If the FR-N3X does not enter record stand-by mode See "Can't dub?" on page 36. Adjusting the recording level See page 38. Turning Level Sync on or off See "Numbering the songs - Level Sync" on page 39. Press MD / (play/pause) to start recording. Elapsed time Recording input source Recording track number Tip! During recording, you can check the elapsed time and remaining time on the MD using the DISPLAY button (See page 35). When the MD is recorded up to its end, recording automatically stops. To stop a recording while in progress, press MD . To pause recording Press MD / . The indicator lights up on the display. Press the button again to resume recording from the stopped point. At this time, the track number increases by one. Numbering the desired song(s) Press REC during recording of the desired song. If you do not hold down REC long enough (about four seconds or less), the song may not be numbered.
