Use a recordable MD with the recordprotect tab closed. 2 Turn MULTI JOG to select the track to divide. You may press to fast forward or to fast reverse on the remote controller to help locate the desired dividing-point. 8 3 Press MD / . Playback starts. 4 Press MD / at the desired dividing. The MD pauses. 5 Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO and turn MULTI JOG until "Divide?" appears in the display. Press MULTI JOG. "Rehearsal" and "Position OK?" appear alternatively and an approximately foursecond section around the dividing point will be played repeatedly. Approximately four seconds rehearsal play The dividing point If necessary, turn MULTI JOG to fine tune the dividing point. You may adjust the dividing point between the values of -45 and +45 (or approx. +/-3 seconds in SP mode) within the selected track.
