Using the MD Group Function If 1TR, 1GR, MEM, or RDM is lit, you cannot use the edit functions. Place the unit in normal playback mode. N Group 4 The Group function enables you to assign tracks on an MD to groups. This function is convenient when you use MDLP for a disc that contains many tracks. Turn MULTI JOG to select the last track you wish to assign to a new group. MULTI JOG EDIT/CLEAR/NO Notes • You can group only consecutive tracks. • You cannot assign a single track to multiple groups. • If you try to play an MD that contains groups on a device that does not support Groups, the disc name will not be displayed correctly. Do not edit an MD that contains groups on a device that does not support Groups. Group Set (while the source is MD and the unit is stopped) You can place tracks that do not belong to any group into a new group. 1 Turn MULTI JOG to select the first track you wish to assign to a new group. 5 Press MULTI JOG. "Complete" appears, and the new group is created. Group In (while the source is MD and the unit is stopped) You can place tracks that do not belong to any group into an existing group. 1 Turn MULTI JOG to select a track you wish to assign to a group. 2 Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO and turn MULTI JOG until "XX Tr Gr.In?" appears in the display. 3 Press MULTI JOG. 2 Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO and turn MULTI JOG until "XX Tr Gr.Set?" appears in the display. 4 Turn MULTI JOG to select the destination group. 3 Press MULTI JOG. 5 Press MULTI JOG. Group
The Group function enables you to assign tracks on
an MD to groups. This function is convenient when
you use MDLP for a disc that contains many tracks.
Notes
You can group only consecutive tracks.
You cannot assign a single track to multiple groups.
If you try to play an MD that contains groups on a device
that does not support Groups, the disc name will not be
displayed correctly.
Do not edit an MD that contains groups on a device that
does not support Groups.
