To use the following commands, press {MENU} (center of joystick), then press {PLAY}. Note: L To edit the number before calling back, press {EDIT} repeatedly to select the desired format (page 35), then press {CALL}, {C}, or {s}. Recording a voice memo You can use the base unit to leave a voice memo (voice message) for yourself or someone else (max. 3 minutes). Voice memos can be played back later with the same operation used to play back answering system messages. 1 Press {MEMO}. 2 After the unit beeps, speak clearly about 20 cm (8 inches) away from the MIC. L The display will show the elapsed recording time. 3 To stop recording, press {MEMO} or {STOP}. Note: L Voice memos are treated as new messages. L If your memo message is less than 1 second long, the unit beeps 6 times and announces, "Your message was not recorded. Record your message again." Answering system commands
You can also operate the answering
