ENGLISH Troubleshooting Dépannage FRANÇAIS Symptom The playback picture is poor. You cannot operate any functions on the camcorder. A vertical stripe appears when you shoot a bright subject against a dark background. (candle flame, for example) The image in the viewfinder is blurred. The tape does not move when you press the play, Fast Forward or Rewind buttons. The Date Time or Title disappeared even though you had it set. Explanation/Solution N The video heads might be dirty. (see page 52) N A mechanical fault might have occurred. (see page 54) N The contrast between the subject and the background is too great for the camcorder to operate normally. Make the background bright to reduce the contrast or use the BLC function while you are shooting. (see page 33) N The view finder lens has not been adjusted. Turn the viewfinder focus ring until the screen comes into sharp focus. (see page 24) N Set the POWER switch to PLAYER. N You have reached the beginning or end of the cassette. N The lithium battery is not installed or is fully used up. (see page 16) Symptôme La lecture de l'image n'est pas de bonne qualité. Vous ne pouvez rien faire avec le caméscope. Une bande verticale apparaît lorsque vous filmez un sujet lumineux sur un fond sombre (une bougie, par exemple). L'image dans le viseur est floue. La bande ne défile pas lorsque vous appuyez sur les touches PLAY, F.F ou REW. La date, l'heure et le titre ont disparu, bien qu'ils aient été pré-réglés. Explication/Solution N Les têtes vidéo sont peut-être sales. (voir page 52) N Une erreur mécanique s'est peut-être produite. (voir page 54) N Le contraste entre le sujet et le fond est trop important. Le caméscope ne peut pas filmer normalement. Éclairez l'arrièreplan pour réduire le contraste ou utilisez la fonction BLC pendant que vous filmez. (voir page 33) N La mise au point du viseur n'a pas été effectuée. Tournez l'anneau de mise au point du viseur, jusqu'à ce que les indications apparaissant dans le viseur soient bien nettes. (voir page 24) N Placez le commutateur principal sur la position PLAYER. N Vérifiez si vous avez atteint le début ou la fin de la cassette. N La pile au lithium n'est pas installée ou est complètement déchargée. (voir page 16) 56 56
