Connecting to a TV What is the difference among the normal video (composite video) output, S-video output and progressive output? Answer The sound of the camera's mechanical action was recorded. The volume on the TV is set to the minimum. The playback volume of the camera is set to 0. - Action Not a malfunction. Adjust the volume on the TV. Increase the playback volume of the camera. Normal video (composite video) output: Combines Y (luminance) signal and chrominance signal and outputs the combined signal. S-video output: Outputs the Y signal and chrominance signal separately. Progressive signal: Outputs the Y signal, B-Y signal and R-Y signal separately. The picture quality becomes increasingly higher, in order from normal video output, to S-video output, to progressive output. 167 English
